Clean-up after tornadoes can take a long time
Last weekend, dozens of Moline High School students spent the day helping some fellow Illinoisans clean up after the November 17th, 2013 tornado that went through Washington, Illinois.

The intense, EF 4 tornado, part of an outbreak that passed through Illinois, Missouri and Indiana, killed three people in Washington and ripped the town apart.

A tornado touched down in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, the Phillipines on April 8, 2014.
A total of 29 homes or other buildings, including a sports facility, sustained damage of some degree.
A woman was able to catch it on video. Although most of the dialog is in one of the native languages (the predominant one being Tagalog or Filipino), once in a while an English word slipped out. You can guess what she is saying anyway.

Towns are gearing up, sirens tested, drills run in schools and businesses. It is time to refresh your memory about the best practices to remember when the weatherman tells you that severe weather is expected.
